Mission

The Chatham-Kent Cougars Football Club is a Non-Profit Organization whose mission is to provide all interested youth in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent with the opportunity to safely develop football fundamentals and build character through participation.

The Cougars Football League, through competent leaders, will teach fair play, life skills, and how to have fun playing the game. The goal of the Cougars Football League is to teach integrity, good sportsmanship, personal responsibility, respect for authority, honesty, loyalty, teamwork and commitment. Skills and ideals will be developed through youth and adult participation in organized Minor football teams.

Our program will allow youth the opportunity to develop self-confidence, determination, self-discipline, dignity and courage. Our program will strike a balance between participation and competition and will allow youth to develop passion for the game of football.

The Cougars Football League will provide youth the opportunity to participate in the game of football regardless of race, creed, gender, colour, nationality or ability.

The Cougars Football League measures success by the number of players that return the following year and the growth of our program, not by wins and losses.
